12 Month Guarantee
Last updated: May 2026
1. What’s Covered
We guarantee all repairs, upgrades, and custom PC builds for a period of 6 months from the date the work is completed.
This includes:
Labour carried out by The Computer Shed
Replacement parts supplied and fitted by us
Build assembly and configuration for custom PCs
The original fault or issue we repaired
If the same issue reoccurs within this period, we will re-diagnose and repair it at no additional cost.
2. What’s Not Covered
To keep the guarantee fair and sustainable, the following are not included:
New, unrelated faults that weren’t part of the original repair
User-caused damage (drops, liquid damage, misuse, incorrect settings, accidental damage)
Software issues caused by user-installed programs, viruses, or updates after collection
Parts not supplied by The Computer Shed
Third-party repairs or alterations carried out after our work
General wear and tear on older hardware
3. Parts Warranty
Any new parts fitted by us are also covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which may extend beyond 6 months depending on the brand.
If a part fails within the manufacturer period, we’ll help process the replacement where possible.
4. How to Make a Claim
If you believe an issue is covered under your guarantee:
Contact us via email, phone, or social media.
Provide your name, device details, and a description of the issue.
Bring the device back for inspection.
We’ll diagnose the problem and confirm whether it is related to the original work.
5. Turnaround Time
We aim to assess all guarantee claims promptly. Depending on the repair and parts availability, resolution times may vary, but we will keep you updated throughout.
6. Fair Use & Exceptions
Our guarantee is designed to be fair and protect both you and your device.
We reserve the right to decline claims where:
The device has been misused
Damage occurred after collection
Evidence shows third-party interference
The reported fault is unrelated to our work
7. Your Statutory Rights
This guarantee is provided in addition to your UK consumer rights, not instead of them.
