12 Month Guarantee

Last updated: June 2026

1. What’s Covered

We guarantee all repairs, upgrades, and custom PC builds for a period of 12 months from the date the return delivery is completed.

This includes:

  • Labour carried out by The Computer Shed

  • Replacement parts supplied and fitted by us

  • Build assembly and configuration for custom PCs

  • The original fault or issue we repaired

If the same issue reoccurs within this period, we will re-diagnose and repair it at no additional cost.

2. What’s Not Covered

To keep the guarantee fair and sustainable, the following are not included:

  • New, unrelated faults that weren’t part of the original repair

  • User-caused damage (drops, liquid damage, misuse, incorrect settings, accidental damage)

  • Software issues caused by user-installed programs, viruses, or updates after delivery

  • Parts not supplied by The Computer Shed

  • Third-party repairs or alterations carried out after our work

  • General wear and tear on older hardware

  • Repairs undertaken against our recommendation: If we advise you under our Economic Viability Assessment that a device is not worth repairing, but you request us to proceed with a partial or temporary repair anyway, that specific work is excluded from this guarantee.

3. Parts Warranty

Any new parts fitted by us are also covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which may extend beyond our standard guarantee period depending on the brand.

If a part fails within the manufacturer period, we’ll help process the replacement where possible.

4. How to Make a Claim

If you believe an issue is covered under your guarantee:

  1. Contact us via email, phone, or WhatsApp.

  2. Provide your name, device details, and a description of the issue.

  3. We will arrange for the device to be safely returned to us for inspection.

We’ll diagnose the problem and confirm whether it is related to our original work.

5. Turnaround Time

We aim to assess all guarantee claims promptly. Depending on the repair and parts availability, resolution times may vary, but we will keep you updated throughout.

6. Fair Use & Exceptions

Our guarantee is designed to be fair and protect both you and your device.

We reserve the right to decline claims where:

  • The device has been misused

  • Damage occurred after delivery

  • Evidence shows third-party interference

  • The reported fault is unrelated to our work

7. Your Statutory Rights

This guarantee is provided in addition to your UK consumer rights, not instead of them.
